Fan: i love you
Gulcan: Ow, isn't that sweet. You probably hear that all day long. I love you. Those 3 words come along very often so let me just say it too, i love you.
fan: Tom ist ein pornosau (not sure what that is)
Gulcan: He is what? ......You are a pornosau.
Tom: Yeah (smiling)
Gulcan: people are just screaming everything, you get so confused. I just wanted to ask a normal question, so how are you?
All: Very good.
Gulcan:That's very nice to hear. We haven't seen you aren't here for some days because you all had holidays?
Bill: Yes, during the holidays we had some time of, we have flown away to a little island and just relaxed.
Gulcan: Have you all gone together?
Bill: We have been seperated during the holidays.
Tom: Bill and i were together (sure)
Gulcan: where did you go?
Bill: We went to the Maledives
Gulcan: ok, was it nice there?
Bill: Yes, it was very nice. I loved the palmtrees and the white sandy beaches.
Gulcan: and where were you?
Georg: I was also on the Maledives but not with those two.
Gulcan: ow, on a different island.
Georg: right
Gulcan: Have you waved to them, "hello, look at my coconot"
All: laughing
Gustav: I was in France skiing
Gulcan: Ok, so you are snowbunny
Gustav: Absolute
Gulcan: and have you got a good time, are you relaxed now and feel like can handle it all again.
Tom: Absolute, we are also a little bit tanned
Bill: yes, a little
Gulcan to Bill: You are really tanned
Tom: yes he is more tanned. we were also in Cannes so we could also tan there a little bit.
Gulcan: And how about christmas. Where you lying under a palmtree then?
Bill: No, we were at home with our family and friends and had a traditonal christmas. We had a very nice dinner and after that we went on holidays.

Gulcan: and how about the fireworks, we also wanna know where you were during new years eve?
Bill: We were on the Maledives, it was very nice, there was a little band that was playing. It was all very quiet.
Tom: Thre was no fireworks, nothing
Gulcan: Really, i just don't believe that.
Tom: It's true, you should see the pictures.
Bill: On the picture you can see the firework coming from another island but here everything was quiet, like i said, there was a band and we just could relax. ...

Bill: Good day, we are on the set of our new video. Over there you can see a lot of people working and preparing everything for the shoot, and i have to say this is going to be a long day. We are really excited how it is gonna turn out. Have a lot of fun, just look around. We have to go back for the shoot, we see you later.
Bill: The song is called "Ubers ende der welt", it's about doing new things and going your own way. Basicly we're saying you have to break out of your old situation and finding new things on your way. That's also what the video is about.
Tom: In the video you'll see an old city in the future, you'll see people that all look and do the same, and then there is this ocazie when we are performing on this sort of stage and all the people start running and climbing.
Bill: People basicly come out of their shells, we are performing the song. I think it's happening to everybody, there is a clipă that you realize that you just do the same thing every day and that feels safe. We also noticed that, you are waking up in the morning saying, i have to do this, and this and so on........
One moment you realize, this has to change, i have to do something different, and you have to want to.
That's also in the video, those people realize. Ok, we have to change something in this dark city, we have to change this sadness and this look that goes on forever.
Bill: lately we have spent a lot of time in the studio. we have written a lot of songs and have taken a lot of time. We just wanted to take some time and lock ourselves away and spend some time on this just like we did with the first album. We just wanted to take the time to settle and not feel any pressure or stress.
Tom: Musicly we try new things, on this album you will probably hear a few new sounds but it still sounds like tokio hotel, we just try some things when we are in the studio.
Bill: and when eveyone likes it, the album is finished. A few last changes are being made but it will come out very soon.
Bill: I have to say, any of or videos has got something cold or wet.
Tom: It's always like that, a video shoot is not very comfortable, it's very cold here.
We are constantly shooting and it's a long shoot, there comes a lot together and then it's very difficult to concentrate.
Bill: In between we have some breaks and then we are wearing this big jacket and after that we just go on.
Tom: this is our luxurious dressing room, backstage in an old bus. Here is also a lot to see.
This is our catering (pointing at the fruit), this is were we sit.
Georg: wonderfull isn't it?
Tom: That is were we get dressed
Georg: This is Tom's new favourite outfit.
Tom: This are the outfits that we are wearing, they are very original from some factory
Tom: The shoes are very nice
Gustav: I think they are very stylish. I think you should keep them.
Tom: There isn't any more to see here.
Georg: too bad
Tom: At least it is warm in here. So it's all good
Tom: Ok, you guys have to go because we have to change into our outfits. At least i mean those things over there and we see you later.
Bill: as you can see we have changed into our outfits.
Tom: I don't like the pants
Bill: Yes, but i can't wait to take them off again.
Bill: I hope you get a little more how everything goes on a videoshoot, and we are going to change back into our own clothes, Later.

Gulcan: Hello everyone! You just were just backstage with Tokio Hotel, in the making of their new music video, Ubers Ende Der Welt! (to boys) Now, you weren't alone during the making of this video. I believe you had, ermmm
Tom: 60.
Gulcan: Yes, 60. What was it like to have so many people, was it hard to coordinate everything?
Bill: I thought it was really good. When more people are there, the less boring it is. It was really cold and gray...so when more people are with you, there's a better mood.
Gulcan: It took place in Berlin, yes?
Tom: Yes...(says something about streets and an old factory I think?)
Gulcan: Now, you had some very excepțional clothes on. Old factory-worker uniforms! Very stylish! I think you brought them with?
Tom: Yes (pulls out uniforms from behind Gustav) we brought them with! They're pretty dirty and sweaty..the sweat from Georg! Um the jacket, well, it's a bit bigger, so it could be Georg's. (unfolding pants) um, these, these are pretty small, the could be Gustav's.
Bill: Or mine!
Gulcan: So you actually wore these right?
Bill: Correct.
(Gulcan explains to viewers that a caller can win those clothes, blahblahblah)
Gulcan: Now, we talked to some colleagues of yours, us5. Have you heard that richie left and they're now us4?
Tom: Uh, I don't understand the question?
Gulcan: Yes, well I was wondering if you're sad.
Bill: Um, well in general it's too bad when a band breaks up
(gulcan's microphone gets stuck in her hair....etc)
Gulcan: hello hello I don't believe anyone heard me, on the contrary, if you did say yes! All haven't? (laughs)
Gulcan: Now did you all wear these uniforms?
Bill: Yes, everyone in the video wore them.
Tom: We all looked really sexy.
Bill: Yeahhh
Gulcan: Yes, very stylish.
(talks more about how stressful the making of the video was, etc)
-video of Tokio hotel live in Moscow-
Bill: We had a ton of fun, and it was naturally really really cool. We are all very very young and have naturally have many latched on, and also got to know many idiots. (with Gustav) I am really nervous.
-back to viva-
Gulcan: Many fans have asked many funny questions, so heres one now!
Fan: Why did you call the album 438?
Tom: First of all it's 483 and not 438 and i don't know if we can give away why we called it like that.
Bill: I would have to say no.
Gulcan: maybe there are 483 songs on the album, as a special.
Tom: Right, we put 483 bonus tracks on the album.
Gulcan: and another one, and another one....
Bill: to go on about the subject, a lot of fans told us what they thought it meant, what was it again? 4 people, 8 eyes, 3 instruments, somthing like that.
But i would have to say, discuss about it a little more because we are not going to tell yet.
Tom: It's also some time before the album is coming out.
Gulcan: when will the album be released exactly?
Bill: (looking very difficult) hmmmm.....................the 23rd?
Gulcan: we can always ask the girls. they have to know for sure. Now here comes the second question for you all.
IV
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1dHBqERYSI
fan: Bill, i wanted to ask if it's true that you are in love?
Gulcan: are you?
Bill: no......
Gulcan: or don't you remember?
Bill: No, i just have to say no.
Gulcan: I am just so overworked, i can't remember.
Bill: I would have to say that the last time i was in love was when i was about 13 or 14, so it has been a while.
All: Aaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwww.........
(bill joins in with a sad face and an "aww!" for himself )
Gulcan: and is one of the other guys in love:
Gustav, Georg, Tom: No
Tom: No, not yet.
Gulcan: not in love, not engaged, not married.
Now we have question number three!
Fan: Hi Bill, I was wondering if I gave you my phone number, would you call me?
Bill: Well, naturally I receive many phone numbers from the fans, and, um, I can't call all of them. So unfortuantly I can't. But we try to read every letter sent to us, so many thanks to all the fans that send us things!
Gulcan: Has any fan come to you with a phone to say a greeting over the phone?
Bill: yea, sometimes fans will come up and say "its my friends birthday!" and we'll say into the phone, happy birthday, or whatever. I think it's really nice.
(Gulcan talks about clothes from music video again)
Gulcan: And now here it is, the world premier, Tokio Hotel's newest song, Ubers Ende Der Welt! Have fun!
....
Gulcan: So how was the video?!
(fans scream loudly)
Gulcan: Uh, ok, ok, that was a shitty idea (laughs) Ouch (rubs ears) So how was it seeing your video on tv for the first time?
Bill: I think it's nice to finally see the complete version; it was a lot of work...
Gulcan: How long did it take to make the video?
Tom: um... how many days? Two? A week?
Gulcan: Ask the girls, they know! (laughs)
Fans: 5 hours!
Gulcan: Oh yes okay, mmhmm (sarcastic)
Tom: 28! Yes, ok...
Gulcan: oh haha so a bit longer.
Bill: Yes! (With the cutest smile everrr!)
Tom: In any case, it's finished...
Gulcan: So you look at it and think, wow this is movie-quality!
Tom: Yes we have rotated 35 meters (sorry, don't really understand that part, I think it has to do with the film reel perhaps)
Gulcan: Look at you little boys, yes! (Imitates the boys)
Bill: Yup, we rotated 35 meters with much good material that people use for the movies, and the finished product makes us happy.
Gulcan: (makes some joke, don't understand it ) Okay, now look at this thing here. This is the single, Ubers Ende Der Welt. It has a lot of particular things on here. There's a side A, side B, side C....
Bill: Yes, we have a bonus song on it, Hilf Mir Fliegen. And it's not on the album-only the single. Our album was finished before we made the song, so we just put it on the single. This way the fans can still hear it. There's also some backstage material on there (points to single), on the trip to Moscow and what-not. Yep. That's what's on the single.
Gulcan: If you want to buy this call now! (acts really crazy) This cd cost 999 euro! Nooo, just kidding, not that much. But you can call to win these uniforms, worn by the boys in their music video! They'll go fast! Okay here's a caller. Hello?
Caller: Hello?!
Gulcan: Hello who is this?
Caller: Sonja!
Gulcan: Sonja?
Bill: Tonja? Tonja Tonja Tonja?! Tonja! (If you watch him he keeps saying it over and over, )
Caller: Sonja!!!
Gulcan: Sonja! Always what the people on the phone say! Sonja! How are you?
Caller: Totally great!
Gulcan: Totally great? That's because of Tokio Hotel right?
Caller: Yeah!
Gulcan: Now Sonja, you just need to answer a question. What's the name of the first Tokio Hotel song?
Caller: Durch den Monsun!
Gulcan: NATURALLY!
(Applause)
Now Sonja, are you a very big fan?
Caller: Yes, totally!
Gulcan: Would you like to say something to the band?
Caller: Um, yes! Um...(she says something about a greeting, but I don't know where she was greeting from)
Bill: Oh thank you!
Caller: I got to go to a concert, and I can't wait to go to the next!
Bill: Very good, I greet you back!
Caller: (asks for something, couldn't tell. It's hard to hear her voice on the phone )
Gulcan: Okay Sonja, goodbye, have a nice life! Bye! Now, if you thinking, stupid stupid Sonja! Because you wanted to win, don't worry because there's three more outfits! Correct?
TH: yes, correct, only 3 more.
Gulcan: So here's the telephone number, you can call tomorrow. The question will be over Arthur and the Invisibles! So I heard the premier was over the weekend, and the movie is about small animals?
Bill: Exactly. It is a very very nice film. (Explains movie a little) Yes, it was a lot of fun, and I was at the premier yesterday. My fans were there, and...
Tom: Who's seen it? (Asks audience)
Bill: Yes, the boys haven't seen it yet either.
Gulcan; Okay, so the movie is in theatres on Thursday if you want to see it! Many thanks to Tokio Hotel! _________________ Love... |
